NEED :- RF Engineer ( CA , 12+ Months ).

Location: Los Angeles , CA
Duration: 12 +Months 

Comments/Special Instructions:
Candidates MUST have RF field experience in terms of design, construction, QA, optimization and/or troubleshooting.
 These Engineers will provide field engineering support to resolve RF communications issues in a variety of RF environments across our installation area which includes our territory throughout Southern California. 
      
Qualifications: 
•Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, computer science, engineering or management information systems.
•2-4 years Wireless communication Field Engineering in Network troubleshooting, In-building solutions and optimization.

Solid understanding of Radio Frequency (RF) Engineering strongly preferred, to include:
•Knowledge of radio transmitters, receivers, antennas, electronic theory, power and applications is required;
•Use of RF propagation models, path loss, and direct sequence spread spectrum;
•Hands on experience on at least one Planning tools – Cell Plan, EDX, PlanNET, ForsK;
•Ability to perform all stages of RF design, including: optimal site selection, link budget analysis, and RF sweep evaluation;
•Use of GIS tools like MapInfo, Arc view, Map point & Google earth;
•Expert skills in using RF test equipment (channel emulators, noise/signal generators, spectrum analyzers, vector signal generator)
•Basic understanding of related network technologies preferred, including Wide Area Network (WAN), Network Security & Management, and other Wired & Wireless Communication Transport (e.g. MPLS, Microwave, Cellular).
•2-4 years project experience (e.g. project team member or Subject Matter Expert) * Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills  
  
Responsibilities: 
•Provides Network Field engineering Tier II technical support for SCG Advanced Meter (AM) Project.
•Works with multiple AM teams to troubleshoot RF communication modules and network devices deployed in the field.
•Major project support activities will include developing and implementing custom Engineering solutions to specific issues, network optimization support, troubleshooting, RF Regulatory compliance, network device testing support and    technical documentation.
•The highest system quality, reliability, and availability are essential to avoid impact to revenue activities, customer satisfaction, and safety.

Specific responsibilities include:
* Work closely with System operations and Engineering in developing custom engineering solutions to address coverage as required, network optimization, interference analysis, business process and documentation related to network    management and operations best practices.
•Work with cross functional team module deployment, system operations & engineering in developing and identifying creative solutions for RF challenging meter locations
•Work closely with vendor and review target network device locations, site configuration and Interference level at each proposed location as needed.
•Role will be based in Los Angeles (Gas Company Tower).
•May require up to 70% travel time (mostly Southern California area).
