Act as the end-to-end IT programming resource for the development of Excel, VBA and Access systems to automate business processes. – Deliver projects and system changes following a structured methodology. ? Elicit and document requirements from the business and gain written business agreement on scope. ? Develop the system design, including interfaces to other enterprise applications and data sources. ? Program Excel, VBA and Access solutions.

 

Execute developer testing and provide test cases to the business for user testing. ? Migrate changes to the Production environment and gain business sign-off ? Write appropriate system documentation. • System solutions include taking data extracts from custodians, merging/transforming the data, and providing reports of the results. • Follow departmental procedures for source control and configuration item management. • Provide weekly status updates. • Act as an advocate for Information Technology best practices, including establishing automated controls and protecting data. • Interact with corporate finance, accounting and investment accounting business units.

 

 

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS • Superior analytical and proactive problem solving skills (R) • Demonstrated ability to identify/implement efficiency and process improvements (R) • 3 years minimum functional and technical design experience (R) • 5 years minimum experience in programming with Excel, VBA and Access. (R) • Superior written/verbal communication skills (strongly preferred) • Self-starter with ability to prioritize multiple initiatives and requests (R) • High level of integrity (R) • Customer focus with attention to detail (R) • Demonstrated teamwork qualities (R) • Undergraduate degree, Computer Science or Management Information Systems (P) • Knowledge of investment products and investment management processes (strongly preferred)
