Position Summary:
Client is implementing a metered content strategy across its 81 U.S. Community Publishing division web sites. The solution touches the Digital CMS platform, corporate billing systems, corporate subscription systems and Atypon RightSuite – software that allows for monetization of digital content. This position will collaborate with Software Development, Business, Application Support, QA and other stakeholders to manage, organize, prioritize and troubleshoot large volume of support incidents during implementation.

Responsibilities
• Technical analyst for application issues before they are escalated to Software Developers
• Troubleshoot web site issues escalated from support teams
• Run database queries, review log files, reproduce issues
• Examine and debug client-side execution use tools Firebug and Fiddler
• Query web services API using Curl to evaluate data and results
• Determine likely root cause of issue involving multiple public web facing and corporate enterprise systems
• Prioritize and recommend fixes for upcoming releases based on consumer impact
• Collaborate with and service application support teams, business owners and other technical teams
• Technical analyst for application issues before they are escalated to Software Developers

Minimum Qualifications:
• Four year degree or comparable experience
• A minimum of four years experience supporting and troubleshooting web applications
• Familiar with nuances of different browsers (IE, Mozilla, Chrome, Safari, etc…)
• Fluent in Microsoft Windows and Linux platforms
• Hands-on application troubleshooting skills using tools like Firebug and Curl
• Excellent written/oral communication skills
