JOB TITLE      :   Petro Technical Data Management Engineer

Location          :  Anchorage, Alaska

Duration          :  6 months

 

Job Description:

·        Education Required: Bachelor degree petroleum engineering, geology, geophysics, or in a related field.

·        Will consider 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree.

Required Skills:

·        Must have at least 5 years of recent experience in working in a similar form of data management support.

·        Domain experience should include strong oil and gas drilling and engineering data management experience, well and production data, well log information, knowledge of map coordinate systems, and other E&P data types.

·        Must have a positive, flexible, solution-oriented -can-do- attitude.

·        Must have firm grasp of interrelationships between applications and related data architecture.

·        Excellent oral/written skills and professionalism are a must.

·        Work as part of a team yet must competently work self-supervised.

·        Organized, detail-oriented and excellent customer service skills are required.

Desired Skills:

·        Prefer experience with any well data management tools such as, Geolog, Techlog, Recall, AssetDB, eSearch or Finder.

·        Experience with SQL, SQL*Plus, *Loader, PL/SQL, Unix shell script, Unix AWK, Unix PERL, TCL, Python, , ESRI SDE tools, Pro*C desirable.

·        Experience of working in an applications or infrastructure support organization in the Oil & Gas industry would be an advantage.
