Position: Java  Developer
Location: NYC,NY
Duration: 6+months
 
 MUST HAVES" Qualifications
 
'- Minimum 5-8 years of application development experience with Java on Unix Platforms.
- Experience in some of the following technologies: Java, XMPP, XML, MySQL, dom4j, HTML, JavaScript, JSP
- Experience working on Instant Messaging systems and applications in corporate environment
- Experience developing XMPP components or plug-ins for Openfire (or similar instant messaging server)
- Familiar with open source community involvement
- Good understanding of Service Oriented Architecture
- Hands on experience with designing scalability solutions and performance improvements (concurrency)
- Experience with deployment and support of large-scale production quality applications
- Experience with monitoring/troubleshooting tools such as Perfmon & Event alerting
- Experience in writing Unit test cases.
- Experience delivering software following Agile / Scrum
- High awareness of customer service
- Very Focused and Challenged

Desired Skills

'- Experience implementing XMPP solutions including Openfire FastPath or other plugins
- Experience with corporate helpdesk call routing operations and systems
