Job Description:
The client wants to replatform two systems developed in Microsoft
Access into two web based C# .Net applications with a SQL Server back
end and we need a developer for each, preferrably with some database
skills. The first system uses a separate Microsoft Access database
file to hold the data. Information is shared by copying the Microsoft
Access database file from a central location to the other locations by
nightly DOS batch job. Several organizational units have modified the
original applications to create different versions of it with minor
differences between them. Client wants to identify all of these
versions dnd consolidate them into one application. The second
application has Microsoft Access as a front end and a DB2 database as
a back end.
Key Responsibilities
•Experience converting Access databases to web based applications
coded using C# .Net with a SQL Server database back end.
•Develop the database structure & database for the new applications
including data definition language required to create the databases
and a data dictionary for each application [only need this for one of
the two developers]
Minimum Requirements
•C# .NET Development (4 years)
•SQL Service Database experience
•Visual Studio 2008
•IBM InfoSphere Data Architect (1 of 2 developers needs this)
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience coding for 508 compliance
•Data Conversion experience
•Team Foundation Server
