Summary:
Client  is in need of a contractor through year end in Minnetonka to help backfill for someone who has moved to another team within client . This is a contract but there is slight potential for this person to be hired. Please state if they are eligible to be hired when presenting or if they are a "contract only" candidate.

This position provides day-to-day Planning and Manufacturing production support for Global SAP users. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Remedy ticket management, facilitate root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives, perform trend analysis on incoming work requests (incident, questions, services), create and maintain TSCs for standard changes, attend CCB meetings to represent operation changes and interface with the business to communicate plans and request status. In addition, this position is responsible for: direct day-to-day functional production support in the SAP modules of Manufacturing and APO/Planning; working with SAP functional and technical support teams and serving as a resource to provide solutions for complex production issues; performing cross functional testing and integration testing; developing knowledge management content to be leveraged by Level 2 support staff and end-users; and providing on-call support for non-core hours of operation.

This person will provide support in: Material Master; Bill-of-material; Work Centers; Routings; Production Orders; Order structure and processing; Order creation; Availability checks; Capacity Requirements planning; Order release; Printing order documents; Material withdrawal; Confirmations; Goods receipt; Order settlement; MES System Integration; Batch management; Serial management; Integration of materials management and quality; MRP; MRP Types; Planning run settings (MD01/MD02); Effects of Demand on MRP; Planning strategies for MTO/MTS; Safety Stock; Stock transfers; Effects of stock on MRP; Stock types; Quality inspection; Effects of receipts on MRP; Effects of ATP on MRP; Capacity Planning effects on MRP; Scrap quality planning, inspections (plan creation and assignment), controls, certificates and notifications.

Reason for Opening:

Our lead SAP Manufacturing/Planning contractor will be transitioning into the Design (L3) Team. Our lead in this area provides more than 80% of the work in resolving incidents and working on Manufacturing and APO (planning) functions/processes, thus we must backfill this position or we will be unable to satisfy existing demand and put our current Manufacturing and APO users at risk. We will determine the transition plan once we have selected a candidate and document the training and knowledge transfer tasks.
