Job Title: Business Analyst (Credit/Risk)

Location: Buffalo, NY

Duration: 2-3 years

Client: HSBC

EAD, GC or US Citizen

 Impact on the Business

Supporting the business through the project lifecycle to ensure smooth take-up of the new solution including the development, delivery

and co-ordination of local training.

Ensure business support for and understanding of the evolving solution, and business involvement in agreeing detailed designs.

Act as liaison with local and international IT, while representing the business needs throughout the technical design and delivery to ensure the

technical development aligns with the business purpose and priorities.

Prepare Project Plans, Status Reports and Management Updates; assume a role in the Application Installations, Implementations, Upgrades and System Testing.

 Operational Effectiveness & Control

Risk and issue management, project meetings, project progress and status.

Prepare Problem Statements, Design Specifications and assist in the Preparation of Test Plans, User Guidelines and Documentation.

Participate in annual technology planning and quarterly reviews to ensure they are still in line with the anticipated business benefits.

Initiate and drive cost savings initiatives.

 Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications

Degree (B.A., B.S.) and a minimum of five years banking experience. Good understanding of Banking and Investment products and services, preferably Private Banking and Trust would be an asset.

Demonstrated excellent analytical, problem-solving and project management skills, with the ability to reengineer processes to ensure a solution.

Ability to recognize opportunities and pro-actively propose and deliver business solutions.

Experience with structured project and analysis methodology such as Six Sigma and representational software tools i.e. MS project and Visio.
