Job Summary & Description:

The Program Manager is responsible for managing the upgrade to a core Avaya IP telephony platform, co-ordinating effort across multiple vendors. The role requires experience in leading complex infrastructure technology programs, strong leadership, proven track record in driving flawless execution, operational excellence, cross-group collaboration and impact/influence.

 

Key responsibilities include:

·         Lead the planning and implementation of program.

·         Work with IT, business and cross – group partners to define and prioritize program scope, goals and milestones.

·         Develop full scale integrated program plan and timelines, and ensure related project streams develop aligned project plans.

·         Assemble and coordinate program team, both direct and indirect; manage resource plans.

·         Implement and manage program governance model aligned to WMA Stability Initiative standard

·         Manage program plan and schedule, ensure plan is integrated and aligned to overall WMA Stability Initiative strategy.

·         Manage concurrent and related projects; managing scope, schedule, issues/risks, trade-offs, communications and expectations; including provide direction and support to project managers

·         Follows the systems development lifecycle (SDLC) methodology, ensuring program and applicable projects adhere to SDLC key controls and milestones.

·         Analyze, remove, and proactively prevent roadblocks across team to meet quality standards, project milestones, and business objectives.

 

The Program Manager must be self-motivated, proactive, and possess the demonstrated ability for maintaining depth of expertise in technical domains.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

·         Bachelors degree educated in a business related field.

·         10+ plus years project management experience overseeing large, complex programs for a global Financial Services organization.

·         Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).

·         Exceptional ability to collaborate, openly communicates, present and negotiate effectively across disciplines and groups, and with technology vendors such as CSC, Avaya.

·         Demonstrated experience delivering results in an ambiguous and changing environment, the ability to work independently and be a self-starter.

·         Strong client focus and analytical problem solving skills.

·         Sound judgment and decision-making skills, ability to juggle multiple competing priorities, and ability to work under deadline pressure.

·         Excellent program and project planning, management and deployment skills, including knowledge of industry standard methodologies and tools. Proficiency in MS Project

·         Knowledge of Systems Design Life Cycle process and key controls.

·         Exceptional experience in risk and change management

·         Exceptional experience in strategic planning, with meticulous attention to detail and a passion for driving execution at a detail level when necessary while maintaining the ability to see the big picture.

 

Technology Experience

·         Strong Infrastructure Technology background Avaya IP telephony (ACM, SM, SYSM, and AES experience essential, Acme/Oracle SBC and MS Lync experience desirable).
