Job Description:
Looking for an Application Manager to work in a team environment to help develop, maintain, and support mission-critical applications while working closely with team members to provide project and ongoing operational support for applications and databases. This person will work with developers to identify system requirements, data sources, and data flow. Will partner with business unit clients and team members to resolve business issues in a timely and efficient manner and be required to successfully complete all assigned tasks, gain a complete understanding of each overall project and business application, and to remain current with the latest technologies and industry/business trends.
Qualifications:
2 years' experience as an Application Manager or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Work as part of a project team to coordinate application and database development and determine project scope and limitations.
• Should possess a knowledge of health care Business Process terminology
• Ability to work in a team environment and ability to accept different roles at different times per project requirements
• experience dealing with outside application development vendors both onsite and remotely a plus
• Interacting with the Business Analysts and other Technical Architects to fine-tune the technical requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of prevailing SDLC methodologies. (Agile, RUP).
• Strong understanding of testing methodologies for functional, systems, integration, performance and UAT.
Candidate must have a working knowledge of the following:
• Operating Systems (Windows, Linux/AIX)
• Web and Application Servers (Weblogic, Apache, JBoss, Tomcat)
• J2EE, SOA, .NET
• Database (Oracle)
• Network, Security, Firewalls
• Load balancing, fault tolerance, high availability
