Position: Check Point firewall Network Engineer

Location: Bloomington, IL

Duration: 6+ months

Rate: $45-50/hr C2C

 

Required: At least 3 years experience in supporting Check Point firewalls and IPS.

Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting these technologies.

 

Working knowledge/experience in the following:

Network Security within large enterprises or financial institutions.

Firewall and Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) technologies in high availability deployments

Network sniffers and packet analysis High technical aptitude, particularly with network security technology Solid TCP/IP foundation Strong customer service and results focus Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong problem resolution and decision making skills

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment

Ability to handle competing priorities

 

Desired: Some knowledge in the following:

UNIX operating systems basic navigation Setting up and supporting VPNs Scripting languages such as Shell and Perl Security and/or Network Certification CISSP, GSEC, or GCFW certification preferred

Experience with Application Firewalls on F5 a plus Experience with load balancing technologies (LTM/GTM) on F5 a plus Network design, configuration, and support on Cisco a plus.
